Alex Weinstein is a composer for film, television, and advertising, best known for his score for the Netflix series Tires. He began studying classical guitar at age four, training in Baroque, Renaissance, and Classical repertoire, and by twelve was winning performance competitions. Around that same time, he discovered music production, spending hours recording on a four-track cassette and learning early techniques through tape manipulation and multi-track layering.
He studied at the Aspen Music School and earned a Bachelor of Music in classical guitar performance from SUNY Fredonia's School of Music. He then moved to New York City, where he produced dozens of records and composed thousands of pieces of music for advertising across a wide range of genres.
