Frankenpine, Four Limbs
Listen: Rivers and Tides
This is a great new acoustic/electric group I just finished working with. Their songs are beautiful and creepy. Take one part bluegrass, add one part folk singer songwriter, and plug it in - that's Frankenpine. We recorded this album in their Williamsburg apartment in Brooklyn. I hope you enjoy it.

Listen: Open My Eyes
Brett Rothenhaus: guitars, vocals; Alex Weinstein: bass, guitars, vocals; Dan Vonnegut: drums; John Freund: Hammond B3. Produced and mixed by Alex Weinstein. Mastered by Emily Lazar at The Lodge, NYC.
Brett had been playing out with a slamming trio for about a year before we all went into the studio. Heavily influenced by late 70's trio pop, we tried to keep the grittiness of the trio on this album without losing the intimacy that Brett is known for.

This is a great trio I was playing with last year. From day one, we all seemed to speak the same language. So I brought them into the studio, and we got this really nice, dreamy, experimental set of songs.
